Outer core
The Earth’s outer core measures to a depth of around 3000 miles beneath the surface. The
Outer Core is entirely made of iron and nickel that has been melted to thick
liquid. It’s above melting point. S waves don’t pass through the Outer Core.
The Outer Core grows 1 millimeter per year. The outer core's temperature is about 3982 degrees C to 5000 degrees.
